My first pick

Yesterday i did something i have not done before. I went on a pick, i am sure some of you have seen American pickers on History channel.

Well i had some time to kill after a early ending at the auctions, so i stopped by a estate sale/ liqudation sale, and i picked a few things and got a really good deal on it.

I offerd them $25.00 for 5 items, and i got it.

What i got was 3 old fashion bankers lamps, and two folding tables in wood.
Later last night i got home and i googled the value of it.
The bankers lamps sells at Walmart for $67.50 a lamp ( $202.50) in retail value.
The wood tables sells at home depot for 39.99 a table ( $79.80) in retail value.
So paying $25.00 for all of that is not bad, i consider it a damn good deal.

What a week!

After a week with plenty of auctions, in multiple locations running at the same time, it has been hard to attend everything. But the last week gave me to lockers, one for $10.00 and one for $50.00

The $10.00 locker is nothing to jump up and down about, yeah i will get about $150.00 back on it in sales. And i have already sold for $75.00 out of it.

The $50.00 locker however, is my all time best locker so far. Here we are talking about a projected sales value of close to $1500.00, and thats not bad when i only paid $50.00 for it.

This locker belonged to a guy who was a security officer at night and running his own model and music production company during the day. I found tons of demo cd's and brand new published cd's in boxes.
I found a pair of brand new Levi's 501XX, i found 6 pairs of brand new shoes (top brands) i found movie scripts, i found original lyrics, i found a bulletproof vest, a gun holster, handcuff holster, pepperspray holstern and the belt, i found his uniform. On top of that i found $13.00 i change and one dollar bills. I found 5 brand new boxes (unopend) with cufflinks set complete with hankerchifs, suspenders and tie's.
I found tons of older cd's and dvd's i also found a few glassware products, i found two very nice flashlights.
Pluss i found alot of stuff that i am gonna sell for a dollar at the fleamarket.

So far this has been my locker with the so called "wow factor" and for $50.00 you can't complain.

I am now looking forward to next week, as plenty of more auctions are coming up. ANd march looks good as well.

This weeks auctions

This has been a busy week with alot of auctions, for once i am tierd and exhausted.
Well i managed to get another unit on tuesday, on the first day of Extra storage space tour.

It was a locker i got for 40 bucks, it looked all trashy and bad, i don't know why i even was bidding on it.
Well i got it for 40 bucks, so it would not be a big loss.

But when i started to go thru the unit i found one thing after the other that was good.
After taking inventory and gotten things priced, i am looking at a FAT PROFIT of 400 bucks. On this unit i will make 10 times my investment, maybe even more. The cool thing is that i two days later have sold for 125 bucks from this unit.

The good thing about the unit was that it was a 5x10 and it took me only 1 hour to empty and clean.

Now my weekend yardsale is coming up and i have more stuff to make money on.

Again i nailed it, another unit that will make me money.

Big auction week in Memphis

New week with new possibillities.
This week is going to be super busy, as we have auctions Monday thru Thursday, and with multiple locations each day.

I am going for a littlebit different units this week, i can't tell what kind of units i am after, i have competition reading my blog. lol...

Lets just say i am not after furniture, i hate hauling off big sofa's and chest's

My goal this week is minimum 4 lockers, but i am hoping for 6 or 7 lockers.

50 dollar locker that turned gold

For some reason i have yet to buy a bad locker. Except for my first one last year that has just made a 250 dollar profit.

After that things has been going pretty damn good. Last Thursday i won a locker with a 50 dollar bid, after spending 2 days going thru itand bringing stuff home i have found out that this locker is the best one so far. I am looking at a total sale of 1400-1600 dollars from this locker, and with a 50 dollar investment thats pretty cool.

This locker belonged to a guy who was into sports and music, and this is where i am gonna make my money. On top of that he had also regular stuff "man stuff".

We are talking about studio recording equipment, records (lp's) music memrobillia, gold rings, baseball equipment, lamps, glassware, tools, toolchest, old sports posters, sports books, one special rock, etc.

All the items above are good quality stuff. Stuff like JBL, Akai, Technics, Spaulding, Time, Craftsman, Starter, etc

I just love those 20-150 dollar lockers, they are the ones i have had the best luck with so far.

I can't wait for Monday and Tuesday to come, tons of auctions going on both days.
